Rodents are by far the most common culprits when it comes to home infestations. Rats and mice have an incredibly fast reproduction rate which allows them to multiply quickly. It is importaint to address the the situation as soon as possible to prevent any further damage.
Unlike rodents raccoon activity is often very obvious. Most customers hear loud noises the first night the home has been exposed to this critter. In fact the majority of our late night emergency calls are raccoon related. Due to their strength most entry points are created by them ripping or pulling down parts of your home. Raccoons are known to cause major damage within the first 48 hours of gaining entry. Because of this we always like to begin a live trapping program as soon as possible to catch and relocate them far away from the home.
The first sign of squirrels in the attic is the scurrying or scratching usually in the ceiling or eaves, during the early morning or evening hours. Squirrels love to live in attics. The female squirrels view your attic as a big, dry, safe tree nest! The females give birth twice a year - in late winter and late summer, and their young grow quickly and start running around in your attic. Peak times for activity are February/March and September/October, although they sometimes spend all year in an attic, and we get calls about them 12 months out of the year. They are very capable animals, and they can climb almost any surface and jump very far, and they have no problem finding the entry points into your attic.
Some common nuisance problems associated with opossums are tearing up walls to take shelter in a home, harassing pets/stealing their food, and sifting through garbage cans in search of food. Opossums are opportunistic eaters so they will never hesitate to consume a free meal if given the chance. Opossums themselves carry an assortment of parasites and diseases that can be easily spread to pets. Their droppings can be quite large in size which can heavily contribute to their already pungent odor. Opossums are not aggressive in nature but will attack if provoked or put in a defensive position. Their sharp teeth and claws pose a danger to both humans and pets alike so it is best to steer clear of these animals and let the professionals handle them.

Whenever you encounter a snake on your property it is important to keep sight of it while maintaining a safe distance. Snakes have the ability to hide in virtually any building or material making them very easy to lose sight of. Florida is home to many different species of snakes. It can sometimes be hard to know what species you are dealing with. We always recommend that customers to call us instead of handeling them on their own. That way we can safely capture and relocate them.
Here in Florida armadillos are very common. Unlike other nusiance species armadillos find harborage in yards rather then homes. An obvious sign is a four to ten inch hole around trees and shrubs. They are considered native wildlife and we use a live trapping program in order to catch and relocate them in a safe environment.
Bats tend to feed mostly at night. Their mating season typically takes place in late summer or early fall. Bats are an overall help to society, as they keep the insect population in check, as it is one of their main sources of food. An infestation of bats can also bring other parasites like fleas, mites and bat bugs, which are similar to bed bugs. Bat Guano can also transmit disease, which is why it is important to clean up the area once the bats have been removed. Bats are one of the few animals we do not catch. Rather we exclude them by placing bat nets on the outside of the opening and allow them to safely leave while not allowing access back into the home.
Whether they are native or non native species we have many trap and deterrents to help with your bird problems. In most cases we do not try to catch the bird(s). Rather we deter them wanting to roost in undesireable areas.
No one likes to be attacked when there relaxing in their yard. Here in Florida we see them on a weekly basis. Wasp nests are easy to remove no matter the height of the nest.
